Unusable Pedestrian Pavement

Though new modern pavements are build along many city roads. Still at many places the pedestrian pavement slabs are damaged and lying in an unusable condition. The photo shows a damaged portion of the pedestrian pavement along Second Avenue, Anna Nagar.

It is reported that pavements are turning into  debris dumping spots and occupied by vendors. At some places motor vehicles, especially bikes are parked on the pavement. Let the concerned authorities take necessary steps to repair the damaged pavements, so as to ensure safe movement of pedestrians.
