Even though the vehicle traffic congestion at the Koyambedu signal has been eased with the construction of the Koyambedu flyover. The signal point at Market road and 100 Feet Road needs attention as there is frequent traffic jam during peak hours. Motorists suggest that one more new flyover needs to get constructed at this point.
Due to heavy traffic flow, a long line of buses and vehicles are found waiting for a long time at the junction, to turn towards Koyambedu Market and CMBT, since there is almost a continuous movement of vehicles on all the four sides.
It is reported that the State Highways department has proposed to build a flyover, covering two signal points at the Jawaharlal Nehru High Road-Arumbakkam Road and in front of the main entrance of the CMBT on Jawaharlal Nehru High Road.
