A group painting show by five students of MOP Vaishnav College for Women, namely C.V.Hamsa, Shahina Ahmed, Payal Bhansal,Shana Paulose and Nikita Kapoor will be held from 1st April 2011 onwards at La.Gallery D’Expressions. C.V.Hamsa is currently pursuing her Visual Communication at M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women. She has been trained under Ms.Geetha. She has a natural flair for painting from a young age and has won many awards.
Her interests include abstract painting, poetry and photography. She has edited a documentary titled “Gods and Goddesses of India.” Shahina is also pursuing her Visual Communication. She said that her family and friends encouraged her to do something creative when pursuing her career.
She has been trained under her fine arts professor Mr.Ranjit who not only taught the basics but also gave her confidence to paint. Payal is currently pursuing her Bachelors of Science in Visual. Paints, sketchpads and brushes have been an integral part of her life right from childhood.
Shana is pursuing her Visual Communication at M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women. She started drawing at the age of 6. Nikita who is also pursuing her Visual Communication has been involved in art since the age of 15.Painting is her passion which acts as a booster in times of stress.
