Service to Tamil literature and to the labour movement

Sri Krishna Sweets jointly with Thiru Vi Ka Pechu Payilarangam, Dr. Mu Va Narpani Sangam and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan has organised a new series on Thiru. Vi. Ka. Prof. Kamalakannan said it is the second programme of Thiru Vi Ka Pechu Payilarangam. He said Sri. M. Murali of Sri Krishna Sweets has made an appeal to everyone to come forward and speak on the good they have done that day for about 2 to 3 minutes at the start of the program which is to be made mandatory from next month. Later Prof. Kamalakannan read out the citation of Thirukkural Mamani Dr. P. Damodaran. Dr. P. Damodaran was felicitated with Tamil Thendral Thiru. 
 
Vi. Ka Virudu in presence of the chief guest Sri. Jagadeesan, President, Mu Va Narpani Sangam, Prof Dr Ulaganayagi Palani, Uravu Surangam, Prof. Kamalakannan, Vice President, Mu Va Narpani Sangam and Sri. S S Jawahar, IAS (Retd). Sri. Jagadeesan praised Thiru. Vi. Ka had lived his life for Tamil. He is a noted personality of 20th century. To bring out his ideology Thiru. Vi. Ka Payirchi Payilarangam was established. There are 22 branches actively participating throughout the month in propagating his ideologies. Dr. P. Damodaran praised Thiru Vi Ka for always keeping up his words and lived liked it. He was given the title ‘Tamil Periyar’. He was a role model for others to follow. He did not use his status in life. He spoke on Thiru.Vi. Ka. views about the society. He spoke about Thiru. Vi. Ka service to Tamil literature and to the labour movement. Thiru. Vi. Ka said ‘Tamil for us and we for Tamil’ as an example of his love for the language. He firmly believed that workers will rule after a great struggle in the course of the advancement of the country.
