Velammal Main School, Mogappair Campus Celebrated its 33rd ‘Annual Sports Fiesta’ and ‘72nd Independence Day’ on 15th August, 2018 in its premises. The campus looked very colourful and gay. It was an awesome sight to see the students in House T-shirts representing their House Colour. Shri Aravind Anna Durai, International Basketball player hoisted the Olympic Flag and declared the ‘Sports Meet’ open. Shri. Gunasekar
Asst. Commissioner of Police, Annanagar hoisted the National Flag. The Flag Song and the ‘March Past’ kindled the patriotism among the spectators. Victory March, Aerobics, Mass Drill, Kids Yoga, Silambattam were the high lights of the day.
Finally, the session ended with cultural programme and ‘Beating the Retreat.’ The Sports Fiesta’ was relished and cherished by a large gathering.
