Humanitarian Life Time Service Award Winner

Ambrose Dhanaraj, was born and brought up in a middle class poor family. He lost his father when he was studying 4th standard. His relatives helped him to fish high school studies. As soon as he finished his high school studies he got a job in a foreign collaboration company. He took voluntary retirement after serving 25 years. While he was working he joined in a social service organization for helping poor people. He also underwent much developmental training and became a quailed person for doing social services. And then he consulted his like minded friends to start a new voluntary organisation. In 1985, with help of his friends, he started an organisation called Tambaram Community Development Society (TCDS). This 35 years old organisation doing survives for the downtrodden people, HIV/AIDS infected families, the children who are infected and affected with HIV/AIDS, livelihood support for income generation activities, self help groups, free school kits for poor children, college education for poor girl students etc.
The Lions Club of Kancheepram, knowing about the valuable the services rendered by TCDS had presented the humanitarian life time service award to Mr. A.Dhanaraj, Director of TCDS. The award was presented by Lion Anbu, Governor of Kanncheepuram District during grand function.
