54 women artists display their creative talents

To mark International Women’s Day Celebration, 54 women artists are showcasing their creative talents at Indigo Gallery, Cholamandal Artists’ Village, ECR, Chennai.The exhibition was inaugurated on 8th March 2018.Artist.G.Sridalaadevi, Founder & Secretary, Pondicherry Art Akademy welcomed all the chief guests, artists, friends and well-wishers. The Chief Guest Mr. P Gopinath, Secretary, Cholamandal Artists’ Village was cheerful to see 54 women artists participating in the show. He appreciated the Pondicherry Art Akademy in taking such a wonderful initiative of uniting all the women artists of the nation to showcase their artworks. A 60 pages exhibition Catalog which carries the painting, profile picture and details of the participants was released by Mr. M.Senathipathi, President, Cholamandal Artists’ Village. He congratulated the Pondicherry Art Akademy for organizing such a wonderful event for women on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Eminent Artist Mr. A Viswam, guest of honor said he is happy to see so many women artists under one roof which he has never witnessed in the past. The event was concluded with the vote of thanks by Mr. K K Sekar, President, Pondicherry Art Akademy. The show contains realistic, semi-realistic, abstract, semi-abstract, contemporary, terracotta and also sculptures. The show is on till 12th March 2018 from 10 am to 7pm
