A large number of girls formed a human chain on 23rd May 2017 at Elliots Beach, Besant Nagar. The girls from various women welfare organisations held placards and banners to showcase their support for achieving gender equality, women education and empowerment of women. The human chain was formed with an aim to prevent violence against women, to ensure better equality health care services and make the world a safe place for women.
