43rd ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATIONS

The 43rd Annual Day celebrations of Jaigopal Garodia Vivekananda Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Annanagar, Chennai – 40 was held in the school premises on 6th August 2016. Major Dr. M. Venkatramanan, Principal, Dwaraka Doss Goverdhan Dass Vaishnav College, Chennai was the Chief Guest. Shri. Ashok Kedia, Managing Trustee, JGVV welcomed the gathering and Principal Shri. G. Vijayakumar presented the Annual Report. 33 centum holders in XII std and 59 centum holders in X std were presented with a citation and certificate by the Chief Guest. 

 

He also awarded the general proficiency students of classes LKG to XI std. 5 students who secured District Second and District Third in the X Std. Board examination were presented cash awards to the tune of Rs. 30,000/- by the Managing Trustee. Major Dr. M. Venkatramanan addressed the students and advised them about their role in shaping their lives and the importance of their contribution to society at large. The staff members were honoured for their meritorious service of 25 years and 15 years in the Institution by Shri. Ashok Kedia, Managing Trustee. The programme began with an invocation dance ‘Sadaksharam’ in veneration of Lord Muruga, followed by a cultural extravaganza presented by students of various levels. Around 190 students from classes LKG to XII std participated in the events. The programme came to a close with the National Anthem by Choir students.
