Pongal Sports Meet 2015

A Pongal Sports Meet was held on 12th January 2015 at  Velankadu Crematorium, New Avadi Road, Anna Nagar.DR.M.Baskaran, President- ICWO welcome the gathering.Honorable Tmt.S.Gokula Indira, Minister for Handlooms and Textiles, Government of Tamilnadu flagged off  the sports event. Speaking on the occasion Honorable MinisterTmt.S.Gokula Indira, appreciated the work done by ICWO.

She insisted that ICWO has to Co-operate and work along with Corporation of Chennai. She appreciated the women who are working in the burial ground. Rtn.C.R.Raju, District Governor Elect, RI District 3230 released the poster “stop discriminating people in crematorium. Speaking on the occasion Mr.A.J.Hariharan said this is the first time in India a sports meet was organized for sports meet for the people working in crematorium. Indian Community Welfare Organisation is administrating the Chennai Corporation Velangadu Crematorium for the past 11 months in a good way.
