Moreover daily routine checks for drunk driving are conducted at various signal junctions by traffic policemen. As part of the Road Safety Week Chennai City Traffic Police are organising and conducting various awareness campaigns especially to curb drinking and driving in order to ensure safety of motorists and pedestrians.
