Urban Development Minister inspects Metro work

Thiru.Venkaiah Naidu, Hon’ble Minister for Urban Development, Government of India took a detailed field inspection of implementation of elevated Metro station between Koyambedu and Alandur, where both the Metro  corridors meet. During the site visit the Minister interacted with the Metro Rail staff and the workmen and expressed his happiness on the progress of the work. He also inspected the elevated Metro section of Corridor-1.

 The Hon’ble Minister also took a detailed review of progress of implementation of Chennai Metro Rail Project with the Managing Director, Directors and senior officials of Chennai Metro Rail Limited. At the end of the review, Hon’ble Minister lauded the works done by Chennai Metro Rail Limited and the progress made on various elevated, underground and system related packages in spite of many challenge. He gave valuable suggestions for speeding up of the Chennai Metro Train Project.
