Flyover pillars come up near Anna Arch

Flyover pillars have now come up along Poonamallee High Road near Anna Arch signal junction. Motorists want the authorities to speed up the flyover construction project so that traffic snarls can be reduced at the intersection of Anna Nagar 3rd Avenue and Poonamallee High Road. Also barricades are needed to be placed in front of the pillars which are at present found standing in the middle of the widened road. 

A few vehicles including cars and autos are found parked just in front of the pillars which are still under construction. One slope of the flyover near Anna Hospital compound wall and at Nelson Manickam road has been almost completed. Pillar formation is still taking place along 3rd Avenue in Anna Nagar. Motorists are also looking forward for construction work to begin at the Thirumangalam flyover slope towards Shanthi Colony signal junction. Though the slope near Asiad Colony 100 Feet Road is getting over, not a single step has been taken till date to start work on the other slope. Anna Nagar residents hope that the flyovers get completed before the Chennai Metro train opens for public.
