Bringing Positive and Environment friendly changes

Chennai Corporation has selected Indian Community Welfare Organisation based at Anna Nagar for administrating the Velangadu burial ground which is located along New Avadi Road, near Anna Nagar. Ever since ICWO took over the administration, a lot of positive changes and improvements have taken place to protect the sacredness of the place. A new name board and a lotus pond are the latest developments. A lot of services were upgraded, specifically cleanness, time management and environment protection. About 64 trees were planted and 110 flower plants were placed around the premises. 

Still more facilities such as waiting room, shelter for performing religious rituals, storage facility for office documents, additional washrooms are required. Esther and Praveena, the women caretakers of the burial ground who have brought a number of welcome changes are thankful for the support and guidance offered by Indian Community Welfare Organisation.
