The North East Monsoon, which set in over South India a couple of days ago, continued to bring heavy rainfall in Chennai. Rain and thundershowers occurred at most places in Chennai and Tamil Nadu. Waterlogged roads hampered traffic movement at various places in the city including 100 Feet Road at Thirumangalam.
A part of School Road in Thirumangalam; near the pedestrian over bridge was flooded due to the heavy rainfall. Many roads and avenues in and around Anna Nagar West and East had severe water logging. The stagnant rainwater posed hindrance to the pedestrians and vehicle riders.
