Variety is the spice of life and school life without feasts and celebrations is charmless. SBOA School and Junior College celebrated its 35th Annual Day on 4th September 2014 at the school premises. The school wore a festive look with decorated arches and colourful flags adorning the pathways. The school band welcomed the Chief Guest and the Management. Mr. A. Krishnan, President, SBIOA Educational Trust, presided over the function. It was a proud moment when Principal Mrs. P.C. Selvarani, presented the annual report highlighting the long list of achievements of students in academics, sports and cultural events.
The Chief Guest Dr. M. Rajendran, IAS, Director of Agriculture, Govt. of Tamil Nadu, spoke about the innovative farming methods used by farmers in Tamil Nadu in line with the central theme of the function “The International Year of Family Farming”. In his special address the Secretary &Correspondent Mr. D. Thomas Fraco Rajdendra Dev, envisaged a new world where SBOA students would take their country to greater heights. Mr. R. Balaji, associate Secretary and Mr. K. Bavanisankar, Treasurer, SBIOA Educational Trust, were the guests of honour.
The cultural extravaganza held the audience spell bound. Music and Song filled the air as the school choir and band played melodious songs. The Rock N Roll Cow Boys & Girls rocked their way into the hearts of the viewers. The Toe Tapping Dancers with synchronized LED background visuals were a treat to the eyes. Artistic Roller Skating Champions glided and twirled in some breath taking moves.
