A temple tank which was practically found polluted with garbage dumping and without facility of rain water harvesting was renovated seven years ago by an individual donor named V.Vasu. He is nothing but a local resident and business man who took up the cost of renovating the water body and converted the same with provision of rain water harvesting facilities and prevented the sewage flow in it.
As of now a portion of granite brick wall in northern side of the tank is eroded with much damage due to seepage of water. K.Ramadoss, a Civic Activist based at Ayanavaram, had stated that the philanthropist V.Vasu has taken up the renovation of work as at a cost of Rs 700,000. The depth of rain water is 12 feet now with different varieties of beautiful fishes even up to a length of three feet jumping in the water attracting visitors to enjoy the scene.
