New bright digital signals have been installed at various intersections in Chennai city. The digital signal lights installed at Anna Arch signal junction helps in regulating vehicle movement across Poonamallee High Road and Anna Nagar Third Avenue. Closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras are also installed at Anna Nagar Arch a signal junction. The Chennai City Police have installed cameras at many busy and important road junctions in the city for monitoring traffic flow. The project of constructing flyovers near Anna Arch signal by the State Highways is expected to decongest Anna Nagar Third Avenue.
