Gold medalist Sathish Sivalingam was given a hero's welcome when he arrived at Velammal Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Mogappair for an appreciation function on 11th August 2014. He was greeted by loud cheers from the school students. Sathish Sivalingam, had won the gold medal in the 2014 Commonwealth Games at Glasgow, Scotland. Sathish Sivalingam received a grand welcome by students, teachers and management of Velammal Educational Trust.
