Students Council Investiture Ceremony

The student’s council investiture ceremony of Valliammal College for Women, Anna Nagar East was held on 14th July 2014 in the college auditorium. The chief guest for the function was Dr.V.Bharathi Harishankar, Professor and Head of Department of Women Studies, University of Madras, Chepauk, Chennai. The college principal Dr.TVS.Padmaja was present on the occasion. 

The function started with the lighting of the Kuthuvilakku by the chief guest and college principal. Dr.V.Bharathi Harishankar in her address stated that the function was nostalgic as it made her to recollect the memories of her college days. She advised the students to have multitasking ability and achieve goals together as a team. She also highlighted about starting a book reading club. The oath of office was administered to the student council members. The function concluded with the vote of thanks.
