Getting Better and Faster each day!!

Chennai Metro Rail Ltd (CMRL) is conducting regular trial runs of metro trains between Koyambedu and Alandur. Track laying and electrification work is now in progress between Alandur and St.Thomas Mount Suburban Railway Station. Chennai Metro Rail officials stated that trial runs are meant to check if the coaches are running well on the tracks and if overhead cables are functioning properly.

The much-awaited Chennai Metro Rail service is expected to be thrown open to the public shortly. CMRL is conducting trials from Koyambedu to Alandur to increase operation speed of the trains. Chennai Metro Rail will be a fast public transport facility in Chennai city, especially between Koyambedu and Alandur.
