An initiative to grow fruit saplings at Schools

Indo international Initiative for Billions of Fruit Trees ( IIIBFT) a NGO has started an initiative to grow fruit saplings in 10 different schools with involvement of school students to reach its goal of Billions of Fruit trees last year. After one year it has raised around 12000 saplings in different schools. The leading students and the teachers who contributed their efforts were honoured by Hon'ble minister of Social Welfare Mrs. B.Valarmathi. The grown saplings were often distributed to several NGOs and all walks of life free of cost. 

A major quantity were handed over by Minister to Mr. Mullaivanam, Founder of Tree Bank. Dr.Alagu Perumal , Founder and Director IIIBFT while welcoming the gathering explained the details of the project and the future plans of spreading the movement to schools and colleges all over the State.Mr. Nungai Maran , Councillor, Mr.Agarwal World Veg Council and teachers participated. Mr.G.Thangaraj, Teacher of Chennai Corporation School, Nungambakkam was honoured with a shield for his outstanding efforts contributed towards the innovative project.
