To help the traffic police, new assistance booths have been installed at important signal points, in and around Anna Nagar area. The traffic police assistance booth to help passengers hire autos at prescribed fares has drawn a huge response. New booth has been installed at K4 signal junction, Shanthi colony junction and Anna Arch signal junction.
Booths at signal junctions are useful for the traffic police to regulate the vehicle movement. The city roads have many police booths built at various traffic intersections. The aim of using these booths is focused to regulate the vehicle traffic movement. Most of the traffic booths also have latest surveillance facilities.
