National Seminar on Challenges in School Education

The SBIOA Educational Trust conducted a National Seminar on Challenges in School Education on 13th June 2014. The purpose of the seminar was aimed to provide a platform for the eminent personalities in the field of education to voice their views and concern with a hope of arriving at policy decisions that would be presented as a paper for the decisions makers to act on. The inaugural address was given by Padma Bhushan Sri. N. Vittal, I.A.S, Former CVC. He called upon the teachers to create an interest in learning and to be in a constant learning mode. He quoted Modi’s rise to power and his background. He called for teachers to be role models.

He expected teachers to help in skill development. He praised the uniqueness the SBIOA Educational Institutions. It was the case of Lakshmi (SBI) creating Saraswathi (Schools). The Keynote address was delivered by Mr.Victor Louis Anthuvan, Economist, LIBA, Chennai. He traced the achievement of India in comparisons to America. He appreciated the SBIOA Educational Trust’s initiatives and call for teachers to transmit their expertise to the rest of the country. On the occasion a souvenir was released by Sri.K.Bhavani Sankar, Treasurer, SBIOA Educational Trust and the first copy was received by Dr.Alfred Devaprasad, President and CEO of Alpha Group of Institution, an alumnus.
