Commuters seek better facilities at Villivakkam terminus

Villivakkam bus terminus is an important transit point. Vital bus routes such as 47, 20, 27D are operated from Villivakkam terminus. The facilities available for the MTC staff and passengers are lacking in many ways and are in need of improvement. The terminus has only one shelter. There are no seating facilities and time schedule boards. Buses are parked at random and most of the time commuters are clueless about which is the first bus. 

Many commuters stated that additional shelters and better amenities should be provided. In addition to the lack of basic facilities, cattle menace is another major problem faced by the passengers waiting at the terminus. Often cows keep roaming around and making the terminus dirty and smelly. No action to prevent cattle from entering the terminus premises has been taken till date. Let the concerned MTC officials give a makeover to the entire terminus and put an end to the cattle menace which has going on for quite a long time.
