A large number of students studying at Chinmaya Vidyalaya School, Z-Block, Belly Area, Anna Nagar, took out a rally to create awareness on the importance of rainwater harvesting on Monday, 16th June 2014. The rally was flagged off from the school premises by Mr. J.C. D. Prabhakar, MLA, Villivakkam Constituency in the presence of School Principal Mrs.V.Gowrilakshmi.
The students carried awareness placards and banners stressing the need for proper rainwater harvesting among the public. Students raised awareness slogans asking people to harvest rainwater effectively. The awareness rally was conducted by Metro Water Board with the assistance of Thirumangalam Traffic Police officials.
