Crossing the 100 Feet Road in Anna Nagar West, near the MTC bus depot has now become easy and safe, thanks to the new Foot Over bridge Facility (FOB) constructed across 100 Feet Road by the State Highways Department. The pedestrian facility is now opened for public use. It has steps on both sides. Two escalators are provided for upward movement. One escalator is placed at 6th Avenue and the other is placed near the entrance of School Road, Thirumangalam.
The escalators are very helpful for senior citizens who find it difficult in climbing the steps. The facility has a spacious walking space in the center and is well illuminated at night. The over pass is indeed a boon for the pedestrians, mainly for the residents of Anna Nagar. The facility will be beneficial for school children and office goers. Railings are placed on all sides of the footpath which leads towards the facility. So the next time, one wants to cross 100 Feet Road in Anna Nagar West, well just walk over!!
