Motorists feel that the widening of the Madras-Thiruvallur High Road (MTH Road) will ensure better connectivity to the city in the near future. Many parts of the MTH Road near Padi have been widened to ease traffic congestion especially during peak hours. Moreover widening the ever-busy MTH Road between Padi and Thiruninravur into a six-lane facility would ease congestion.
Madras-Thiruvallur High Road (MTH Road) is one of the chief routes connecting the northwestern suburbs of Chennai, India. Starting from Padi Junction, the road connects the neighbourhoods of Padi, Ambattur, Thirumullaivoyil, Avadi, Thirunindravur, and Thiruvallur. It is one of the four national highways that radiates out of Chennai city and is part of National Highway 205.
