Metro train model displayed at Koyambedu CMBT

A model Chennai Metro train coach has been put up at Koyambedu CMBT premises for public display. The first metro coaches were manufactured by Alstom Company based at Brazil. The additional metro coaches are now manufactured at the branch of Alstom Company branch situated in Tada, Andhra Pradesh and are transported to Koyambedu Depot in Chennai. 

Koyambedu Metro station is a Metro railway station on the Line 2 of the Chennai Metro, which is currently under construction. The station is among the elevated stations coming up along corridor II of the Chennai Metro, Chennai Central–St. Thomas Mount stretch. Chennai Metro Rail Project is aimed at providing the residents of Chennai with a fast, reliable, convenient, efficient, modern mode of public transport, which is properly integrated with other forms of public and private transport including MTC buses and suburban trains in Chennai city.
