Framework completed for pedestrian overpass

Pedestrians struggling to cross 100 Feet Road will soon be a thing of the past. The frame work for the pedestrian foot over bridge across 100 Feet Road, near School Road, Thirumangalam area has almost been completed. The pedestrian over bridge is aimed at ensuring safe passage of pedestrians between School Road and 6th Avenue.

Railings along the exit and entry points have been installed. At present there is no pedestrian signal along 100 Feet Road between Shanthi Colony and 18h Main Road intersection. Pedestrians face risk while crossing the one ay stretch which has continuous traffic flow. The new foot over-bridge will give Anna Nagar residents easy access across 100 Feet Road in Anna Nagar West.
