At present Metropolitan Transport Corporation authorities are operating only two routes namely 7F (Anna Nagar West to Broadway) and 24A( Anna Nagar West to V.House) from the spacious Anna Nagar West bust terminus and depot. The area residents stated that the frequency of bus services on route 7F and 24A needs to be increased, especially during office and school hours. Re-introduction of 7J bus service will be appreciated by the Anna Nagar West office goers.
Mr. P.Vadivel, Secretary of Anna Nagar Western Extension Association stated that new MTC bus routes from Anna Nagar West terminus towards Perambur, Poonamallee, Egmore, Avadi will be beneficial to the area residents and the general public. Anna Nagar residents also want the MTC officials to operate small bus service from Anna Nagar West Depot to Padi and Ambattur Estate via Park Road and School Road.
