Indian Community Welfare Organisation based at 18th Main Road,Vallalar Colony, Anna Nagar West, together with Chennai Corporation brought New Year Cheer at Nammathu Illam Shelter for Homeless, Chennai-12.
Nammathu Illam provides shelter for destitute, elderly, orphan women, homeless and people with disability. Speaking on the occasion.
Mr.A.J.Hariharan, Secretary, ICWO said that this project supported by Chennai Corporation and ICWO is an implementing agency to ensure a safe space and life with dignity for homeless people in Chennai. Mr.Suresh Karuna, (GKS) MD, GKS Food Products Pvt. Ltd said that he was extremely pleased to be the part of this initiative to support Homeless people in Chennai.
This is a unique effort of ICWO and Chennai Corporation to help homeless and destitute people who are in greater need for safe shelter with all facilities. Mr.S.Clement David, City Level Co-ordinator, Shelter for Homeless Initiative, Chennai Corporation also participated in the New Year Celebration. Students for various colleges participated in the New Year Celebration” at the Nammathu Illam Shelter for Homeless.
