Are Anna Nagar Autos Drivers Friendly?

Autos, the yellow and black vehicles zooming in all directions in the city are indeed a trademark of Chennai. Inspire of heavy competition from share autos and call taxi companies, autos have not lost its sheen at all.

 Now the revised rate by the Tamil Nadu Government has made the autos one of the best and easily available modes of transport. The Governments decision on auto meters has brought solace to the commuters.

Uma Rajmohan, a resident of Anna Nagar East accomplished a herculean task of hitching an auto from Greams Road Apollo Hospital to Anna Nagar in the middle of heavy rains. She also had another unfortunate incident in getting an auto from Sterling Road to Anna Nagar.

 Uma Rajmohan suggested that the Government and Traffic Police need to do better and effective measures to regulate autos in Chennai so that passengers could experience a comfortable and trouble free journey. Traffic Police officials have set up assistance booth with helpline numbers to help auto passengers.
