Highways Department Gives 100 Feet Road A Clean Look

Taking into account the need to keep clean the roads in Chennai city, State Highways Departments operates mechanical sweeping machines to clear the sand and dust which accumulate near road margins and center medians. 

Recently the stretch of 100 Feet Road in Koyambedu was cleaned by the Highways Department. According to official sources in the highways department, the road surface, pavements and medians are regularly being cleaned. 

The cleaning of the busy main roads is being taken so that water logging is prevented. According to official sources, the vision of the Highways Department is to increase the capacity, connectivity, efficiency and ensure safety of road users on the highways.
