Many traffic islands at various junctions in Chennai city have been beautified by creating a garden. In a major drive to increase Chennai city’s green cover, a green garden has been created in the space below Padi flyover. A garden will add to the beauty of the traffic islands under the flyover.
Green plants are now giving a fresh appearance to the area. The space under the Koyambedu flyover now has green look, thanks to the Highways Department beautification drive. Both Padi and Koyambedu flyover facilities were handed over to the State Highways Department by the National Highways Authority of India for maintenance and improvement work.
