The Traffic Police have installed automatic signals at the ICF junctions intersecting New Avadi Road and also at MTH Road, near the ICF Railway quarters which are very useful in controlling the vehicle traffic movement along the ICF Railway Hospital Road stretch.
But the vehicle riders who turn towards ICF from New Avadi Road find it difficult to enter into MTH Road to proceed towards Villivakkam and Ayanavaram. A wider junction will facilitate easy movement and safe turning especially for MTC buses towards MTH Road intersection.
The traffic island situated near the signal junction also lacks maintenance and is in need of a facelift. The Madras Tiruvallur High Road (MTH Road) is an important link connecting places such as, ICF, Villivakkam and Ambattur.The MTH Road stretch always gets waterlogged and muddy during the rainy season causing hindrance to the vehicle riders.
