Most of the residential streets and avenues in and around Anna Nagar Western Extension have a smooth blacktopped surface equipped with storm water drainage facility to ensure no water stagnation along the roads in the rainy season. But the present road surface at D-Sector, 9th Street needs attention.
The road stretch is lying in a battered condition and it gets waterlogged every time when it rains. The residents of the area find it inconvenient to use the road which has slush and dirty muddy stagnant water at different places.
More over the entrance from Park Road towards 9th Street is also lying in a neglected manner with wild bushes in the corners and an uneven road surface which poses a risk to the motorists and pedestrians. 9th Street is a vital residential link and requires blacktopping so the residents can have a safe and smooth travel.
