Thanks to the Chennai Corporation, most of the uneven stretches in Anna Nagar area are getting blacktopped to ensure smooth driving. But the road surface along 8th Street needs attention. Dangling cables and an uneven road surface at the entrance of AF Block 8th Street, near 11th Main Road in Anna Nagar poses a hindrance to the motorists and pedestrians.
Motorists, especially pedestrians need to be cautions while going along the 11th Main Road and 8th Street intersection. Area residents have a tough time negotiating the dug up spots at 8th Street stretch especially near Anna Nagar Post office.
Blacktopping of the dug up section has not been done till date. Vehicle riders find it risky to drive along the battered stretch. Let the concerned authorities take steps to blacktop the dup up spots along 8th Street so that there could be free and safe vehicle and pedestrian movement.
