Putting Safety First!!

There was lidless electricity junction box with exposed wires at the entrance of V-Block,12th Street corner and also at Y- Block,6th Main Road, Anna Nagar for a longtime. The open junction box was posing a dangerous risk to the pedestrians and motorists. 

Moreover the exposed cables have been posing a danger to small children of the area. When it rains, the danger doubles due to water entering the junction box. As a public safety measure, Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) Ltd, authorities took necessary action to close the open junction box and highlighted the point that it is dangerous to get in contact with the junction box. The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board official also advises the public to stop pasting bills and advertisements on junction boxes.
