Construction of flyover pillars is going on at different places near Anna Arch junction. A few traffic diversions have been made to facilitate pillar construction at the Anna Arch signal junction near Poonamallee High Road. A new approach road has been created for vehicles going towards Nungambakkam and Central from Anna Nagar Third Avenue stretch.
Work on flyover pillars along Nelson Manickam Road is also progressing well. Work is on to construct flyover pillars near Anna Arch on Poonamallee High Road and along Nelson Manickam Road. According to Highways Department sources, a flyover facility will soon come up to connect Poonamallee High Road, Anna Nagar Third Avenue Road and Nelson Manickam Road intersections. The constructions of the flyover will make the Anna Arch junction stretches totally signal free.
Moreover the construction work of Thirumangalam flyover, at a traffic intersection of Second Avenue, 100 Feet Road and Mogappair-Ambattur Industrial Estate Road is going on also at a fast pace and will be completed soon.
