Tamil Nadu Darts Association (CAFÉ 180, 8/31, Chakrapani Street Extn, West Mambalam) has organized ‘Chennai Open Darts Championship tourney on September 7, 8 and 9 at Alumni Club Anna University, Boat Club Road, R. A. Puram. S. Saran (President, Tamil Nadu Darts Association) and Venu Pillai (Secretary) said that darters of India from 12 states and International teams from Dubai & Malaysia are participating in the Chennai Open Darts Championship which has a prize money of about 3 lakhs.The best darters around India from Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Delhi, Assam, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala are participating in the tourney. Chennai has been the venue for the best Darts Championship ever conducted in India during the last 10 years of Darts in India.There are 9 categories in the tourney it includes men singles, women singles, youth boys singles, youth girls singles , men doubles, mixed doubles, team foursome, draw threesome and handicap singles.Saran said that CAFÉ 180, India’s only dart lounge, Darts has reached many in Chennai and also thanks to Salem Darts association and Kovai Darters for spreading the game. Venu said that free darts orientation is being conducted in the Café in the weekends, evening sessions and all dart enthusiastic are invited to have a throw at the dart board.
They said that Association has joined hands with Jestriot Media Pvt. Ltd. to coach darters and provide them with technical support and expertise to enable them to participate in the coming Chennai Darts Championship to be held in Alumni Club.
