The channel diversion work for the
Otteri Nullah along Anna Nagar East, Third Avenue has shifted to a different
location. Much of the road space near the centre median has been taken up for
the work. Motorists are advised to be cautions while taking the bend at the K4
signal junction. Traffic has been diverted according to the progress of the
work.
Since considerable work near K4 Anna Nagar Police Station is over,
construction has now begun on the opposite side of the signal junction. The
Otteri Nullah diversion channel project has been going on for the past few
months in Anna Nagar East.
The project is aimed to divert excess water and link
the Cooum River. The stretch were the work is in progress has been barricaded.
The residents of Anna Nagar East hope the work would get completed soon so that
traffic movement can be eased along 6th Avenue and L-Block.
