It’s not a smooth ride for the road users along 11th Mani Road, Anna Nagar. The stretch of 11th Main Road from 2nd Avenue towards 15th Mani Road has been dug up for carrying out metro water pipe laying work.The road width has become narrow due to metro water work and soil excavation. Nearby shop owners said that the work is going on at a snail’s pace and needs to be completed at the earliest to ensure hindrance free movement of vehicles along the road. At present motorists and pedestrians find it difficult to move pass the dug up spot. The stretch of 11th Main Road linking
Shanthi Colony also has many obstacles. There are uncovered gaps along the storm water drainage. The road is uneven and not blacktopped at several places though the civic work has been completed. The pedestrian footpath is lying in a damaged condition and awaits renovation. Let the concerned authorities take action to improve 11th Main Road and make it obstacle free especially for the area residents, motorists and
pedestrians.
