Metro Rail Work Speeds Up To A Different Location

The Chennai metro rail underground station work has shifted to a different location along Anna Nagar Second Avenue, near Thirumangalam. Traffic has been diverted according to the progress of the metro work. The advent of metro will decongest the roads and will certainly share the burden of the buses to provide a better travel experience for the residents of Chennai city in future.

With Metro Rail construction activity on Anna Nagar Second Avenue crossing over to the other side of the road, work seems to be progressing fast. Motorists driving along Anna Nagar Second Avenue towards Round tana would have, in the past few months, noticed many traffic courses having changed, particularly near Blue Star junction. Since considerable work on one side of the underground station is over, construction has now begun on the other side.

According to officials of Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL), three underground stations are coming up along Anna Second Avenue, namely Thirumangalam, Tower Park and East Anna Nagar Railway stations. The site, where earlier work went on has been cleared and new road has been laid along that stretch for vehicle movement.
