HDFC Bank Ltd, emerged victorious in the Chennai Bank League (CBL) 2013 Cricket Tournament. Mr.S.Vedhachalam Honourable MLA of Ambattur gave away the prizes to the winners and runners of the tournament. Mr.Pravin Kumar, MD of Glister Financial and Insurance Services present on the occasion. The tournament commenced on 12th May 2013.
The final match of Chennai Bank League (CBL) 2013 Cricket Tournament was played at Murugappa Cricket Ground. HDFC BANK Ltd defeated Religare Finvest Ltd by 8 wickets. Opting to bat first, Religare Finvest Ltd, piled up 121 runs in the stipulated 20 over’s with the help of 34 Runs by Mohana Krishnan. Bala of HDFC Bank Ltd, scored 49 runs of 33 balls taking HDFC Bank Ltd, to lift the winner’s trophy.
Bala of HDFC Bank Ltd, bagged the Man of the match award for his unbeaten 49 of 33 balls & Man of the Series award for his 181 runs and 9 wickets. His team mate Velmurugan was adjudged as the Best Batsman of the tournament. Raj Udhya of Religare Finvest Ltd, was declared Best Bowler of the tournament. The tournament was organized by Glister Financial and Insurance Services.
