Risky Trees At Anna Nagar Western Extension!

It is good to see roads and streets in Anna Nagar dotted with huge road side trees. Park Road, SBOA School, North Main Road and East Main Road are full of trees which gives the area not only a green look but also relief from the scorching sun during summer days.

Trees are important and good for the environment. But at the same time, leaning and dead road side trees are hazardous to life and property. One perfect example of low lying trees is found along East Main Road at the very entrance of D-Sector W Block 1st Street.

The low lying tree branch is posing a risk to the motorists as well as the pedestrians. Absence of proper reflector lights makes the tree branch very risky and accident prone at night. A completely dead tree with a broken cable post on Park Road poses a risk to the road users.

Let the concerned officials prune and remove hazardous trees on a regular basis so as to ensure that they do not obstruct vehicle and pedestrian movement.
