Anniversary Celebration Of Dignity Dialogue

Dignity Foundation is a non profit organization that offers the elders an enriching set of opportunities to lead a more dignified, secure, fun filled and fulfilling life. In the year 1995,the activities of the Dignity Foundation were started with the publication of the magazine Dignity Dialogue.

 In the year 1998, Dignity Foundation head office in Mumbai decided to extend the services to the senior’s citizens of Chennai. Dignity Foundation celebrated the 18th anniversary of fits magazine Dignity Dialogue by recognizing the literary talent of senior citizens. Mr.K.Radhakrishnan, Director of Dignity Foundation, Chennai Chapter welcomed the gathering and spoke about the development and growth of Dignity Foundation. 

This was followed by a speech on the beginning and growth of Dignity Dialogue by Mrs,Aruna Damodharan, Head-Chennai Chapter.The keynote speaker, Mr.B.S.Raghavan, IAS, Retd, Chief Secretary-West Bengal in his address highlighted the need to simplify the procedure involved in getting the benefit of health schemes. 

He also mentioned about Income Tax exemption for senior citizens aged 80 years and above. On the occasion, Mr.B.S.Raghavan, presented a donation of Rs.25000 towards the Dignity Dementia Day care center. 

The Dignity Brand Ambassador Mr.V.P.Dhananjayan spoke on the occasion and presented awards to talented senior citizens.  The services offered by Dignity Foundation are Dementia day care center, senior citizens helpline service, companionship and second career services, computer classes, Dignity Film festival, Dignity Dialogue meetings and health awareness programmes.
