Mega Eye Camp Benefited Many Poor People


The free cataract surgeries was given for more that 200 poor people who attended the free eye screening cataract surgery camp conducted by Ungalukagha Charitable Ungalukagha Charitable Trust, which has been rendering yeomen service for the poor and the needy, has conducted a Mega Eye Camp at Kesari School, T.Nagar, with the voluntary help from Shankara Eye Hospital, Pammal. More than 900 people registered at this Eye Camp and got their vision tested and rectified. 

 Shankara Eye Hospital at Pammal camped at the Eye Camp site with its medical team and latest equipments. Ailing people who sought help at the camp were quickly tested for their eye sight and spectacles were supplied to those who needed them. The mega Eye Camp was inaugurated by Shri R. Arumugam IPS, Inspector General of Police. 

At the outset, Dr. Suneel, the Managing Trustee of Ungalukagha Charitable Trust welcomed the gathering and gave a brief about the goals of the Trust and the services so far rendered to the needy poor. In his presidential address, Rajkumar, the MD of Vishranthi Homes, commended the noble vision of the trust and said that providing complete vision to the poor is the best charitable act on earth.
