Music concerts of M. J. Shriram would be organized by Swami Vivekananda Rural Deveolopment Societyat 7 p.m on Saturday, 9th February 2013 at Vanimahal, G. N. Chetty Road, T. Nagar to raise funds for its ‘Single Teacher School’ project.R. P. Krishnamachari (Executive Secretary, Single Teacher Schools project) said that project started by Swami Dayananda Saraswathi in 2006.
In the last 6 years ‘Single teacher school’ established in over 650 villages in Thiruvallur, Kanchipuram and Vellore districts of Tamil Nadu. He said that these schools operate in the nature of ‘after-school’ educational support system in these village and with an average of about 30 students per school, over 20,000 children are benefited by project.
