East Tambaram Terminus Project

In East Tambaram, Metropolitan Transport Corporation buses occupy almost an entire half of the four-lane Velachery Main Road. Metropolitan Transport Corporation officials in Tambaram said they had no other option in the absence of a bus terminus. East Tambaram bus terminus project is a facility crucial to the development of the locality. 

The buses bound for Thiruvanmiyur, Velachery, T.Nagar and other parts of the city are now parked parallel along Velachery Main Road. A spacious modern bus terminus in East Tambaram has been a long dream for the many thousands of people who traverse the area every day. The project has hit many hurdles, but all that may be coming to an end.  Many passengers suggested that the bus can start operating from the spacious railway colony premises it self.  Let the MTC officials ponder over this and find a suitable solution.
